Operating System Re-installation
Windows and Mac OSX re-installation in Dunfermline, Fife
If your computer has had a virus, a Windows Update has failed, or your machine is running slower than it used to, an Operating System Re-installation will solve your problems.
You don't even need the original installation disk as we have all you need. We can re-install:
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7 Home
- Windows 7 Professional
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 10 (all versions) - Note the latest version will be installed.
- Mac OSX
All Operating System Re-installs will be fully patched through Windows Update to ensure they are as secure as possible.
Please note that the majority of machines have a licence key sticker on them that proves you are licenced to use it. From Windows 8 onwards, there was no sticker.
Backup
An operating system re-install is a destructive repair where we will format (wipe) your hard drive prior to re-installing Windows. If you do not have a backup of your data (a recent copy) then mention it at the point of booking in the repair and we will make a copy of your data.
Once the repair is complete, your data will be copied back onto your machine. We will then delete it from our backup system.

After your machine has its operating system installed, we will install our standard applications including:
- Google Chrome (Web Browser)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF Reader)
- Libre Office (Office Productivity Software
- ESET Anti-virus 30 day trial (please stipulate if you would rather this was not installed)
Other applications
We can re-install other applications for a small extra charge. We will require to see proof of ownership prior to installing your application.
